Founding Board Member & President

Prativendra Singh is an accomplished professional who completed his M Tech at the National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra before being selected as a research scholar at Incheon National University in South Korea. As the founder and a dedicated member of numerous youth forums across India, he is committed to empowering underprivileged communities through enhanced access to higher education. Currently, Prativendra serves with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. His leadership and advocacy for educational empowerment position him as a driving force for positive change within the community.

Amrita Mario

Board Member

Amrita Mario is a dynamic leader with 20 years of experience in the development sector. She specializes in providing livelihood training to visually impaired women in handicrafts and teaches various handmade products to women from low-income backgrounds. Currently, Amrita serves as the Lead Production Executive at Insha-e-Noor Producer Company Limited in New Delhi, where she drives production initiatives and empowers women artisans. Her extensive expertise and commitment to social impact make her a valuable asset to any board focused on community development and women's empowerment.

Rafia

Board Member

Rafia Begum is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in community development, project management, and social services. Holding a Master's degree from C.S.J.M. University Kanpur, she possesses strong skills in MS Office and typing in Hindi and English. Currently serving as a Supervisor with Indo Global Social Service in Hardoi, Rafia oversees waste management initiatives and conducts community training sessions. Her previous roles include volunteering with Praxis-Institute for Participatory Practices and working with the HCL Foundation on adult education and capacity building for self-help groups. Rafia is recognized for her strong analytical and communication skills, as well as her commitment to social work and community welfare. She is fluent in Hindi, English, and Urdu, and is passionate about making a positive impact in her community.

Deepa

Founding Board Member

Deepa is a multidisciplinary professional working at the intersection of data, policy, and people, brings a unique ability to translate everyday conversations and lived experiences into meaningful research that drives impact. With diverse experience spanning pharmaceutical research, land reforms, geopolitics, and development studies, offers a well-rounded perspective on complex social challenges. Backed by an academic foundation in Physics and Political Science, combines analytical rigor with grounded, real-world insight. As a Founding Board Member of the Kursath Foundation, contributes to shaping evidence-based strategies, strengthening program design, and ensuring that the organization’s initiatives remain rooted in community realities. Passionate about research that moves beyond theory into action, plays a key role in aligning the foundation’s work with inclusive, sustainable development goals, ensuring that ideas not only inform policy but also create tangible change on the ground.

Alok Kumar Singh

Alok is post graduated in Mass Communication Science and Technology” from Lucknow University with a background in media and communication industry combined with a personal understanding of communication processes seeking a role in journalism and mass communication Strategize to evolve positioning and entrench key messaging of brands to achieve business goals.

Johney Reberio

Board Member

Johney Reberio has been serving as a Board Member of the Kursath Foundation since 2023. A seasoned legal and governance professional with over 20 years of experience in the not-for-profit sector, he brings deep expertise in regulatory compliance, strategic governance, and policy advisory. He has demonstrated strong leadership in advancing initiatives across climate change, sustainability, child safeguarding, and gender equity, with alignment to global frameworks such as the UN SDGs and ESG principles. In his role, he provides strategic oversight, strengthens governance frameworks, and supports impactful program delivery while ensuring compliance with evolving legal and regulatory requirements, including FCRA and corporate laws. He is passionate about driving sustainable development and fostering partnerships that enable inclusive and equitable growth.

Mukesh Kumar

Founding Board Member & Treasurer

Mukesh Kumar, B.Sc. M.L.T., has an academic background in Medical Laboratory. As a professional with more than 20 years of experience in Medical Field, especially Biochemistry, Haematology, Microbiology, Clinical Pathology, Elisa, Hormones etc. Presently Mukesh works as a Lab Technician in Delhi State AIDS Control Society.

Shishupal Prajapati

Shishupal Prajapati is a development sector professional with over a decade of experience in programme management, administration, and community-driven initiatives. As a Founding Board Member of the Kursath Foundation, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s grassroots vision of empowering marginalized communities through education, skill development, and social inclusion. Within the Kursath Foundation, Shishupal contributes to strategic planning and organizational development, ensuring alignment with the foundation’s mission to enhance access to education and opportunities for underserved youth in rural India.
